I was asked recently “What are the qualities of a great entrepreneur?” It got me thinking. And researching. And this is what I’ve discovered through experience and research.
Great entrepreneurs are highly creative people who have a passion and dream they want to realise in the world. They see something that’s missing in the world they wish existed so they go out and create it. They have a purpose and they see opportunities not problems.
They’re courageous and risk takers – turning left when society turns right. They’re lateral thinkers, they’re determined, they take responsibility and they make things happen. They genuinely and authentically care about their clients and they have a strong sense of ethics – they know when something’s wrong and when something’s right.
But what does this mean for you? It means that your entrepreneurship has real purpose here on this blue and green planet. Don’t just dream it, go make it happen. And keep genuinely caring about people.
Because if they feel you genuinely care about them, they’ll trust you. And if they trust you, they’ll want to do trade with you.
