Recently I was listening to a teleclass from my mentor Vicky as part of the mastermind group I belong to. Anyway, she offered an insanely simple way to upsell, SO good and SO simple, you’ve got to hear too.

Ready? Here it is.

Close your eyes and think of your best clients or customers. Now open your eyes and open excel to start a spreadsheet.

Along the top of your spreadsheet, pick your top 10 clients or customers and list their names here. Down the side of your spreadsheet, list all the products and services you offer. Ensure to list them one by one.

Then tick off who has what product or service. Everywhere you’ve got a gap, a blank square, is an opportunity for you to upsell them onto something else. It gives you a quick, visual snapshot of where they’re all at, and where your opportunities lie. It might even give you good ideas for new products or services.

Then all you need to do is keep referring to your spreadsheet and keep offering each client or customer a product or service they don’t have. Then add your next top 10 clients or customers. Then your next 10… then your next 10… Saves you thinking on the fly and gives you an instant action plan so precise and so customised to your client or customer, they’ll swoon under your personal attention.
